Mrs. Marjorie Richardson Woods passed away Saturday at her home in LaGrange.
She was born March 15, 1931, in Cuthbert, Georgia to the late Ulysses and Vercie Stergis Richardson.
Mrs. Woods graduated from Albany State University where she pledged Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She retired from LaGrange City Schools after thirty-six years.
She served faithfully as a member of Warren Temple United Methodist Church, where she met her husband, the late Mr. William Woods.
In addition, she worked diligently in her community, serving in several organizations and boards.
Survivors include her daughters: Chantris Woods and Taryl (Jeff) Anderson, LaGrange, GA; son, Dr. Dexter Woods, Indian Heard, MD; grandchildren, great grandchildren; brother, Norris Richardson, Cuthbert, GA; and a host of relatives, friends, students, and beloved Zeta sisters.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Friday from 5-6 p.m. The family will host a Private Ceremony at a later date.
