The Callaway Cavaliers were the top dog in Region 5-AA during the regular season, and their reward is home-court advantage in the boys’ region basketball tournament.

The Cavaliers will host the tournament, and they’ll play a semifinal game on Thursday, and either a third-place game or the championship game on Saturday.

Also this week, the Callaway Lady Cavaliers will participate in the region tournament at Heard County.

Callaway and Heard County tied for first place in the region, and Heard County is the host team after winning a coin flip.

Callaway’s first game will be in the semifinals on Wednesday, and it will play in the third-place game or the championship game on Friday.

Regardless of what happens this week, both Callaway teams have already qualified for the state tournament.
