LaGrange Academy hosting state game

The LaGrange Academy Warriors will look to keep their season alive with a home win over St. George’s on Saturday in the opening round of the GISA Class A state tournament.
LaGrange Academy, the number five seed, will host fourth-seeded St. George’s at 2 p.m.
If LaGrange Academy wins, it will play top-seeded Oak Mountain in the semifinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.
Second-seeded Thomas Jefferson and third-seeded Twiggs Academy will meet in the other semifinal game.
The championship game, which is also in Americus, is set for March 6 at 12:50 p.m.
LaGrange Academy and St. George’s played twice in the regular season, and they each won once
LaGrange Academy beat St. George’s 41-28 on Jan. 30, and it lost the rematch 44-31 on Feb. 9.
LaGrange Academy’s girls’ team, meanwhile, is the number one seed in the Class A state tournament.
LaGrange Academy will play either Oak Mountain or Twiggs Academy on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Georgia Southwestern.
Second-seeded St. George’s and third-seeded Thomas Jefferson will meet in the other semifinal game, and the championship game is March 6 at 11 a.m. in Americus.
