Mrs. Christine Williams Dunson of 103 Nelson Road, a native of Troup County passed away Thursday.
She was born Feb. 9, 1940, in Troup County, Georgia; the daughter of the late Deacon Roy and Martha Ann Gates Williams.
She was a 1959 graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School, a devoted member of Threats Grove Baptist Church, and a retired employee of West Point Stevens.
Survivors include three children: daughter, Katrina (Jerry) Allen, LaGrange, Georgia; two sons, Derrick Dunson, Fort Valley, Georgia; and Bishop Roderick (Deborah) Dunson, Saint Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren: one great grandchild; three sisters: Ethel Bell Wilson, Atlanta, Georgia; Shirley D. Williams, Decatur, Georgia; Martha Ann Phillpott, Saint Petersburg, Florida; one brother, Deacon Henry Williams, Decatur, Georgia; three sisters-in-law: Hattie Williams, Martha Williams, both of Decatur, Georgia; and Minnie Williams, Montgomery, Alabama; her best friend, Mrs. Louise Carlisle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and dear friends.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30. The Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
