Henry Paul Teaver of LaGrange, Georgia passed away peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2021, at his residence. He had celebrated his 100th birthday in January of this year.
Mr. Teaver was born Jan. 17, 1921, in LaGrange, Ga to the late John Augustus Teaver and Theodosia Parker Teaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings and is survived by wife, Jane Goolsby Teaver; sons, Steven Paul (Susie) Teaver of LaGrange, Georgia, Mark Lawrence (Kim) Teaver of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and Franklin Edward (Sharon) Teaver of LaGrange, Georgia; grandchildren, Whitney (Johnny) Gober, Steven (Nicky) Teaver, Hannah (David) Mize, Ryan (Chris) Morrison, Andrew Teaver, Henry Teaver; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Alice Teaver Downer of Richland, Georgia.
Paul Teaver worked in the family plumbing and heating business prior to proudly serving his country in the United States Navy during World War II. His naval service included tours in South America, North Africa, Sicily and he was among those who landed on Utah Beach on D-Day. Following his Naval service, Mr. Teaver continued his career in the plumbing industry and followed his father as he became the second generation owner of Teaver Plumbing.
He was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange where he also served with dedication as Deacon and Elder. Mr. Teaver was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was also an active member of the LaGrange Rotary Club.
A Private Memorial Service for the immediate family will be held at The Columbarium of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity or First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange in memory of Henry Paul Teaver.
