On Thursday, Marnovious Sessions was arrested Thursday and charged with five counts of entering an auto and two counts of criminal attempt to enter an auto, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.
According to LaGrange Police Sgt. Mark Cavender, Sessions allegedly entered five cars and attempted to enter at least two additional cars with the intent to commit a theft.
Cavender said Sessions began breaking into cars Monday and continued into Tuesday.
Evidence located at the scene led officers to Sessions’ residence, where he was arrested on an unrelated arrest warrant. According to LPD, at the time of his arrest, Sessions was on felony probation for a previous robbery conviction.
During a search of the residence, items taken from vehicles were located in his residence.
Cavender said in all of the thefts the vehicles were left unlocked with items in plain view. He said the LaGrange Police Department is urging the community to lock their vehicles and to remove all valuable items.
