1927 – 2021
Mrs. Agnes Dallis Leslie passed away.
She was born the fourth of five children on Jan. 26, 1927 to George Washington and Hattie Freeman Dallis in LaGrange, Georgia.
She was educated by Union Street School and graduated from Brown Barber College, Atlanta Georgia in 1951.
She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church for many years. Some of her early employers included Ideal Cleaners and B & G Department Store; Harris’ Barber Shop before opening Leslie’s Barber Shop in 1953 which remained open until her retirement in 1992.
Survivors include four children, Carolyn J. Haamid and Maxine K. Maddox (Thomas)of LaGrange, Georgia; Sonja J. Heard (Carlos) of Grantville, Georgia; and Walter R. Leslie (Genene) of Tallahassee, Florida; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and other relatives (especially cousin Virginia Wright) and friends.
The Service will be Wednesday at 11 a. m. at Southview Cemetery.
The excellent care of Mrs. Leslie is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
