GEORGE REED

1951 – 2021

Mr. George Reed passed away Friday.

He was born Nov. 26, 1951 in Troup County, Georgia to the late Willie Mae Reed Duncan.

He was educated in the Troup County School System and graduated from West Georgia Tech.

George was employed by Freudenberg-NOK, and was the owner of Anointed Reed Lawn Service.

He united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church and remained a faithful servant.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Reed; daughters:  Terra Reed, Chantris Reed, and April (Anwar) Philpot; three grandchildren; siblings:  Sue Roland, Annie Mae Duncan, Grady Hill, Alma (Melvin) Moore, Larry Hill, Machella Moore, Linda Sims, Audre McCray, and LaPam (Bennie) Hixson; sister-in-law, Floria (Willie) Stargill; aunts:  Edith Brewer, Ethel (Warner) Bankston, Hattie Jones, and Lula Gilliam; special relatives:  Beaulah Hill, Laverne Hill, and Rev. and Mrs. Joe Cameron; special friends:  Larry Sims, Jamie Tucker, and John Cameron; and a host of cousins.The service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Marseilles Cemetery, West Point. The excellent care of Mr. Reed is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
