The funeral service for Mrs. Annie McClendon Silvels of LaGrange will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. The viewing will be on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Silvels, a native of Troup County, was born November 8, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Neal and Mattie Jennings McClendon.    She united with the Mount Pleasant C.M.E. Church early in her life and remained a devoted member until her health would not permit her to attend.    She was a retired homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Silvels; daughter Cassandra Silvers; and son James Edward Silvels.

Survivors include one son, Donald Silvels, Jacksonville, FL;  sister, Nina Copeland, LaGrange; niece, Duchess Favors; nephew, Brian Simpson; loving caregivers: Lonnie Hollis and Mattie Mae McClendon Hammett; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, devoted cousins and friends.

Arrangements for the service are by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home at 100 Corporate Plaza Drive.
