Mrs. Letha Lucille Wheatley, of LaGrange, passed away on April 15, 2020. She was born in Red Bank, Tennessee on April 9, 1925, to the late George Taylor and Clara Taylor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wheatley is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon A. Wheatley; her children, Robert G. Wheatley and Jean Wheatley; her grandchild, Danel Samrow. She was the last living sibling of 9. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Samrow (Frank) and June Wheatley Hooks (Ronald); her grandchildren, Donna Teachworth (Doug), Valerie Paige Neighbors (J.D.); her great grandchildren, Payton Teachworth, Taylor Teachworth, Jonathon Teachworth, and Emily Neighbors; great- great grandchild, Kellan Jaid Neighbors;  her nieces, Shirley Stewart, Joanne Marsack, Beverly Laskey, and Barbara Kirkland.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Concord Baptist Church starting at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Benjie Dukes officiating. A reception will follow the service at the home of Ronald and June Hooks.  Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.
