LaGrange overpowers Jordan

The LaGrange Grangers wrapped up a busy stretch of six games in seven days with a 12-2 home win over Jordan on Wednesday.
LaGrange (14-8 overall) improved to 7-1 in Region 2-AAAA and remained in second place, one game behind Troup.
Sophomore Ty Medders had a huge day for LaGrange with three hits and six RBIs, and he hit his first home run of the season, a grand slam.
Matthew Morgan, one of the seniors recognized before the game, hit his second home run of the season, and he had two RBIs.
Seth Stargell had one hit and three RBIs, and Matthew Lamb had one RBI.
Chase Williams pitched five innings to earn the win, and Landon Tucker threw a scoreless seventh inning to finish things off.
CALLAWAY: Callaway earned a doubleheader sweep of Haralson County on Wednesday. After winning the first game 12-3, Callaway completed the sweep with a 5-3 victory.
Callaway (15-6 overall) improved to 7-3 in Region 5-AA while winning its fourth consecutive game.
Callaway beat Haralson County three times this week.
