LaGrange wraps up number two seed

COLUMBUS – The LaGrange High girls’ soccer team secured the number two spot in Region 2-AAAA with a 10-0 road win over Jordan on Wednesday.

LaGrange (8-5-1 overall), which was playing for the first time since March 24, finished with a 7-1 region record.

LaGrange’s lone region loss came to Columbus, which won the region championship.

In Wednesday’s game, senior Malone Aldridge and freshman Sam Cottle scored three goals apiece for LaGrange.

Miller Williamson added two goals for LaGrange, and Tatum Fritchley scored one goa

Morgan White and Cottle had two assists apiece, and Williamson and Delfina Martinez each had one assist.

LaGrange has a road game against Pacelli on Tuesday before closing the regular season with a home game against Smiths Station on April 16.
