Mr. William Thomas “Bill” Stroud, 81, of Aiken, South Carolina and a former longtime resident of Jackson, South Carolina, husband of the late Doris Nixon Stroud, entered into rest in the comfort of his home on Sunday, April 11, 2021.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was a son of the late William Thomas, Sr. and Frances Thielen Stroud. He proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army. Bill retired from the IBEW Local Union #728. Bill had a passion for spreading the Gospel. He also enjoyed volunteering at Christ Central Ministries, going to Beekeepers meetings and a round of golf.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children and their spouses, Mark Stroud, LaGrange, Georgia, Karen and Franklin Bird, Aiken, South Carolina and Holly and Mark Crocker, Knoxville, Tennessee; siblings and their spouses, Richard and Pat Stroud, Wray, Georgia, Mary Lynn and the late Carley Seymour, Burnet, Texas, Beth Jacobs, Burnet, Texas, the late Nicholas Stroud and Elena Ubals, Miami, Florida and the late Sheila Stroud; grandchildren and their spouses, Nicholas and Mary Stroud, Eric and Jennifer Stroud, Mitchell Bird, Skylar Mayson, Kendell Mayson, Nancy Crocker and Mary Crocker and six great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in LaGrange, Georgia, at a later date.
