LPD makes major arrests for drug sales

Near the end of last year, the LaGrange Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit began a special operation seeking to arrest multiple suspects wanted for Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and other offenses. According to Sgt. Christopher Pritchett, the suspects were selling a vast number of drugs all over the community. He noted that none of the suspects had a connection to each other.
Nine suspects were investigated and charged with various charges. Seven suspects were arrested in all.
4Rashad Pickett, 33, and Justin Tucker, 34, are still wanted by LPD for four counts of sale of cocaine.
The following suspects have been arrested:
4Montavious Bray, 28, had been wanted for sale of cocaine. At the time of arrest, LPD said he was in possession of crack cocaine and was charged with an additional offense of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
4Alphonzia Bray, 30, had been wanted for sale of cocaine and probation violation.
According to LPD, at the time of his arrest, Alphonzia Bray was on probation for sale of cocaine through Troup County Superior Court.
4Robin Slaughter, 52, was arrested for two counts of sale of cocaine.
LPD said that at the time of arrest, Slaughter was out of jail on bond for three previous charges of sale of cocaine.
4Cordarious Bailey 33, was also arrested for sale of cocaine and was in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana at the time of his arrest.
He was charged with additional offenses of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug related objects.
4Dycovian Gates, 27, had been wanted for questioning regarding a death investigation.
LPD said narcotics were found in plain sight in his vehicle, and he was charged with possession of a schedule IV narcotic with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, less than an ounce, and probation violation.
At the time of his arrest, Gates was on probation for felony fleeing and attempting to elude police through Troup County Superior Court.
4Michael Turner, 40, had been wanted for two counts of sale of cocaine.
At the time of his arrest, Turner was on probation for felony driving with a suspended license through Troup County Superior Court.
4Bayshad Huguley, 20 had been wanted on a bench warrant issued through Troup County Superior Court.
According to LPD, at the time of his arrest he was in possession of a firearm and was charged with additional offenses of possession of firearm by a convicted felon and participation in a criminal street gang. Additionally, Huguley was on probation for entering auto through Troup County Superior Court and was out of jail on bond for entering auto, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and participation in a criminal street gang.
