For the fourth straight year, The LaGrange Daily News is accepting nominations for its 20 Under 40 magazine, which features young leaders making an impact in LaGrange and Troup County.

We had hundreds of nominations last year, which made it very difficult to narrow down the list to 20 people.

Last year the magazine featured musicians, insurance agents, pastors, designers, healthcare workers, teachers and more — a really great mix of young people in many different professions in LaGrange and Troup County.

This year, we’re at the starting point in collecting nominations, and we urge you to nominate someone who make a good fit for this honor.

But we also urge you not to sell them short. We assume that everyone nominated is a “good person” “who works hard” and “is kind” so use stronger adjectives to describe them.

Tell us how their work or volunteering is making an impact in our community.

Nominees must primarily conduct business in Troup County, Georgia and be under age 40 as of May 1, 2021.

The deadline for nominations is May 15 and those selected will be notified soon after the nomination deadline. The list of honorees will not be made public until the 20 Under 40 special section is published in July. To nominate someone, visit www.lagrangenews.com/20-under-40.

We look forward to having several more hundred nominations to work through this year as we highlight another 20 of Troup County’s young stars.

If you have any questions about this magazine or the nomination process, please email news@lagrangenews.com. And for any who have already nominated, thank you for doing so.
