Joe and Ashley Tanner were always willing to help a friend or family member fix their vehicle problems. After a while, their clientele became so great and Joe’s work so dependable that they decided to go into business themselves.
“He just had a good amount of people behind him pushing him to do it,” Ashley Tanner said.
The couple held the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony for their new business, Wicked Wrench Automotive, on West Point Road in LaGrange Friday.
The business offers automotive repairs, including air conditioning diagnostics and repair, check engine light diagnostics and repair, suspension diagnostics and repair, brake system diagnostics and repair, lift kit installation and battery testing and replacement. System programming and tires are not available.
Most importantly, the business strives to keep an open dialogue with customers.
“We just want to provide the best service we can and reasonable pricing,” Ashley said. “We just want to be honest with our customers and show them that they can come to a repair shop and not feel like they’re getting ripped off.”
The business is also trying to expand into performance automotive and had two Camaro cars on display at the ribbon cutting to advertise their abilities.
The opening also doubles as a win for Troup County overall, said Chamber of Commerce Chair Dale Jackson, as it is the second business that has opened in the county in the last week.
“We’re growing, we’re expanding,” Jackson said. “I think that’s great.”
