Mrs. Sandra Faye Woodyard passed away Thursday at Warm Springs Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 20, 1953, to the late Alford and Alma Williams in Troup County, Georgia.
She united with Bright Star Baptist Church, graduated from Troup High School, class of 1971; received a bachelor’s degree from Morris Brown College in 1975, and was employed by Harris County DFACS.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Woodyard; daughter, Greta Woodyard; two granddaughters; sisters: Eartha Williams, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Debbie Williams, Valerian Heard, Loriann (Alfonzia) Simpson, all of LaGrange, Georgia; one brother, Victor Williams, Charleston, South Carolina; sisters-in-law: Jarvis (Joc) Whatley, Atlanta, Georgia; and Diane Moore; brothers-in-law: Jerome Woodyard, Flint, Michigan; Andre Hill, LaGrange, Georgia; and Kenny Woodyard, Flint, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
