Ms. Carmeshia Gates passed away Saturday.

She was born on May 6, 1974 in Troup County, Georgia to Claudia Gates and James Hammett.

She earned an Associate Degree from West Georgia Tech; and united with City Light Church.

Survivors include her parents, Claudia Phillips and James Hammett; sister, Lakeisha Leigh Jennings; brother, Johnny Lamar Gates; brother-in-law, Donald Jennings; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. The Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery.
