Mrs. Gloria Ann Heath Hancock, 90, of LaGrange, passed away on Aug. 30, 2021.
Mrs. Hancock was born on Nov. 19, 1930, in Junction City, Georgia to the late James Elmer Heath and Tommie Allen Heath.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, former LaGrange Police Lieutenant, William Jack Hancock, sons, William Franklin Hancock and James Ray Hancock, daughter in law, Kay A. Hancock, sister, Elizabeth Smith and brothers, James Heath and Billy Heath. Survivors include her granddaughters, Karen L. Hancock (fiancée, Randy Franklin), Kristina D. Hancock and Catherine Hancock Garman (Brett); great grandchildren, Tyler A. Hancock, Hailey Garman, Matthew Garman and Zachary Garman; daughter in law, Susan Hancock; sisters, Ellen Chase (Glen Lee) and Judy Smith (Steve); sister-in-law, Linda Heath; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mrs. Hancock was the owner of Hancock Sewing Center and later worked for the Atlanta Journal Constitution. She and her husband were former members of the Troup Travelers Camping Club.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
