On Tuesday, Sweetland Amphitheatre announced that they are making a video with people singing Boyz II Men’s “Motownphilly” in anticipation of the group coming to Sweetland Amphitheatre Sunday, Sept. 19. To participate in this project, record yourself singing “Motownphilly” and send it to kvanschoor@lagrangega.org.

The deadline is Friday, Sept. 3 at noon.

“This is just something that we want to get people excited about Boyz II Men,” said Katie Van Schoor, City of LaGrange marketing/communications manager.

“We just wanted to have a little fun with it because most people know Boyz II Men songs around here, so we just wanted to have a little fun with it, have everybody get involved, and make a video.”

Van Schoor said the video will start airing next week on Facebook on the pages of LGTV, Sweetland Amphitheatre, and City of LaGrange.

She said people can also lip-sync for the project.
