COVID update: Wellstar reports 65 COVID-19 patients

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is caring for 65 COVID-19 patients as of Monday, per a Facebook post from the hospital.
A total of 17 people are in the ICU, 16 of which are unvaccinated, and a total of 10 people are on ventilators, nine of which are unvaccinated.
The health system as a whole is caring for 661 COVID-19 patients.
Of the current cases, 591 are unvaccinated. A total of 168 people are in the ICU, 155 unvaccinated, and a total of 124 people are on ventilators, 112 unvaccinated.
The Georgia Department of Public Health has reported 595 cases of COVID-19 in Troup County during the past two weeks, pushing the county total to 8,001 cases.
The department also reports that the county has a total of 225 deaths and 40 probable deaths since the start of the pandemic.
