The Maker and Merchant, a vendor marketplace with two stores in Auburn, Alabama, announced plans to open its third location in the LaGrange Mall.

The new store will occupy approximately 4,500 square feet next to Belk and is scheduled to open in November.

The Maker and Merchant will be home to a collection of small businesses, makers and entrepreneurs and will feature clothing, home décor, accessories and more all supplied by makers and merchants from LaGrange and the surrounding areas, per a press release from the company.

The Maker and Merchant currently has two stores in the Auburn Mall in Auburn, Alabama that are home to over 75 local businesses.

“We are so excited to soon be joining the LaGrange community,” said Coles Doyle, owner of The Maker and Merchant.

“It’s been a great experience getting to know new businesses and learn their stories. There’s so much talent in the area and our goal is to have a variety of boutique clothing, accessories, food and décor under one roof. We can’t wait for shoppers to be able to experience the store and support the small business community.”

The store is currently accepting vendor applications and will hold a vendor open house and hiring event in the LaGrange Mall on Wednesday, Sept.22.

The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in front of the new store.

Vendors can learn more about the store, see the space and get to know The Maker and Merchant team. The Maker and Merchant in LaGrange can accommodate approximately 40 businesses and there are a variety of wall spaces and tables available for businesses of all kinds.
