Despite temperatures being in the 50s, LaGrange has plenty of community events for citizens to enjoy throughout the weekend.
Veterans who are looking to spend some time outdoors are granted free admission to Hills and Dales in honor of Veterans Day.
For those looking for a thought provoking Saturday morning, the Trust Building Breakfast series continues at the LaGrange Art Museum. Dr. Kelly Veal will speak on intergenerational trauma transmission from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is free and open to the public.
For those hungry or craving a beer, Wild Leap will host the Grilled Cheese and Soup Showdown 2021 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Participants can vote on their favorite grilled cheese and all ages are welcome. The event will go on rain or shine.
The LaGrange College Sports Management program will host a 24-hour marathon to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House at the LaGrange High School track from Saturday at 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event is free and open to the public with donations accepted.
Sunday afternoon the Sons of Lafayette will put on the Songs of the Open Road from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This event will be held at the United Methodist Church in downtown LaGrange. The group is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.
