Sue Almarine Cook, 102, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. She was born on Aug. 12, 1919, to Leonard Poague and Susie Turner in Randolph County, Alabama.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Floyd, Eris Davis, Sarah Davis, Abbie Lou Skelton, Paul Poague, Mozell Culver, Oscar Poague, Jim Poague, Grady Poague; grandchild, Kenneth Cosper.

Survivors include her daughter, Melva Cosper (Eugene); son, George Cook, and Peggy Cook ; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. The family will have a graveside service at Shadowlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, beginning at 1 p.m. The family will gather at the grave prior to the service.  Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, (706) 884-5626.
