HOGANSVILLE – Hogansville City Manager Jonathan Lynn announced at the city’s council meeting Tuesday that the lobby of City Hall will be closed starting Wednesday until at least Monday. However, the timeline may be extended.
“We will make a final decision on that date probably this weekend,” Lynn said.
Lynn said this decision was due to an uptick in COVID cases among city staff.
“We have approximately 10% of our workforce having positive cases right now,” Lynn said.
The drive-thru will still be open, but will operate on reduced hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The city of Hogansville will not be charging credit card fees during this time. Staff will be working remotely. Other departments throughout the city will be enacting other safety protocols as well.
Hogansville city staff asks residents to monitor the city’s Facebook page for updates.
A constant contact with information will be sent out as well. Hogansville residents can sign up for this by texting HOGANSVILLE to 22828.
