Sybil Rayburn, 80, of LaGrange, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb.1, 2022
Mrs. Rayburn was born July 15, 1941, in Manchester, Georgia, to the late Fred and Gladys McRae.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Phillip Edward Rayburn and Stephen Thomas Rayburn.
She is survived by her husband, Gordy Ike Rayburn; daughter, Michele Ondean Harris; grandsons Alexander Jones and Dustan Harris; sister, Sheryl and Brent Smith; sister-in-law Cindy McRae.
Sybil was employed for many years with USF&G and retired with Milliken and Company in LaGrange. She was a member of Preceptor Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for over 40 years. She also volunteered for many years with the Meals on Wheels Program at First Methodist Church and also with the Church Staff.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Georgia. The committal will be held Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, Georgia, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church in her honor.
