A man has been arrested on nine counts of child molestation following a LaGrange Police Department investigation.

Cary Freeman, 50, was arrested and taken to the Troup County Jail.

On Monday at 11:55 a.m., officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to an undisclosed location within the city limits of LaGrange in reference to a sexual allegation.

Officers on scene determined that an incident had occurred between Freeman and a juvenile victim. Freeman was detained on scene and transported to the LaGrange Police Department for questioning where he was subsequently arrested for child molestation. Further investigation led to the additional counts of child molestation.
