Make plans to celebrate everything Irish at Downtown LaGrange’s annual St. Patrick’s  Block Party. On Saturday, March 19, this year’s festivities will take place at Overlook Plaza stage next to Wild Leap Brew Company from noon to 4 p.m. and on the 100 block of Main Street from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Show mobile stage.

World champion Irish dancers from Drake Irish Dance of Atlanta will add an authentic Irish flair to the celebration,  performing at 2 p.m. on the Overlook stage and at 4 p.m. on Main Street.

The free, family-friendly event will also feature live music. Wild Leap Brew Company is sponsoring the band, Too  Many Peachtree Streets, at the Overlook Plaza stage from noon to 4 p.m.

The Raising Sand Band, will play hits from the 60s to present day at the Showmobile stage on Main Street at the completion of the Irish Dance performance around 4:30 p.m.

Many downtown restaurants will feature food and drink specials during the event.

Customers are encouraged to purchase food and beverages downtown to enjoy on Main Street while listening to The Raising Sand  Band. No outside food or beverage will be permitted to bring in.

In the Main Street area, event-goers are invited to bring their own tailgate chairs and claim a spot in Flagpole Park to enjoy the festivities.

Free activities will be available at  Flagpole Park for all ages to enjoy, including airbrush tattoos courtesy of Mallory Agency and a  St. Patty’s day photo booth sponsored by the DLDA.

Downtown businesses have donated prizes to include gift certificates to Downtown shops and restaurants, passes to Downtown LaGrange’s Spring Sip & Shop, merchandise from Wild Leap Brew Co and Emberglow Handmade and specials from The Beauty Bar – fill out a Lucky Clover card for a chance to win.

Beginning March 11, visit participating Downtown shops and restaurants to find a Lucky Clover card. Participants should sign and drop their Lucky Clover card in the Pot of Gold at Emberglow or Marketplace at LaFayette Square by 3 p.m. on March 18. 

The Lucky Clover prize winners will be announced from the Showmobile stage at 6:30 pm. Participants must be present to win.
