A 63-year-old LaGrange man, Joseph Wade, was killed Monday in a rollover crash on I-85 southbound near Hogansville.
According to the preliminary report from GSP, GSP Post 2 LaGrange was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on I-85 South near mile marker 29 in Meriwether County.
The preliminary investigation shows that a white Ford Explorer was traveling south on I-85 in the right lane and a Chevrolet Impala was traveling south on I-85 in the left lane.
The Explorer crossed the travel lane and struck the Impala’s passenger-side door.
After impact, the Explorer exited the roadway, traveled onto the west shoulder of I-85, struck a tree-covered embankment and overturned. Wade was the driver of the car and suffered fatal injuries, the report said.
