1969 – 2022

Steven Paul Currie, 53, of Salem, Alabama was born on Feb. 16, 1969, to the late Aileen Johnson Duvall. 

Steven received his healing when he transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. 

He was the Pastor of The Pentecostal Church of LaGrange and a gifted musician – we are pretty sure he is currently playing a Hammond B-3 in the Heavenly Choir. 

Steven brought laughter everywhere he went and touched many lives with his faith in God and love for people.

Left to cherish his many humorous moments and carry on his legacy are his loving and devoted wife, Anita Hammock Currie; four loving daughters, Stephanie Eason (Daniel), Kristalyn Christian (Michael), Haven Sanders (Josh), and Aliyah Currie; siblings, Russell Snyder (Gloria), Susan Huntley (Gerald); his church family; and a host of family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and siblings, Carl Currie and David Currie.

A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2 p.m. at The Pentecostal Church of LaGrange followed by a procession to the graveside.
