The administration at LaGrange High School found a loaded gun concealed in a Chromebook case belonging to a 16-year-old student Friday. An anonymous tip was provided to a teacher that the student may have been in possession of a gun, according to a press release from the school system. 

“The safety of our students is a top priority, and we wanted to make you aware of a situation that occurred this morning at LaGrange High School,” the press release reads.

The student was arrested and taken by law enforcement to the LaGrange Police Department for processing.

At no time was there a threat made against anyone, according to the press release. Principal Alton White notified parents of the incident by SendIt, the notification system used by the school system.
