The LaGrange Fire Department was dispatched on Monday, May 9 at 10:41 a.m. to 514 South Lee Street for the report of a structure fire.

Crews arrived on the scene and saw smoke coming from the structure. 911 operators advised there was an elderly person trapped inside the home, according to a press release from the city of LaGrange.

Crews arrived on the scene, located the elderly victim and extricated the victim from the residence. Two other residents escaped the fire with no injuries.

The fire was extinguished at 11:01 a.m.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
