Five charged with gang, firearm and assault charges from 2021 crime

Five individuals were recently charged with a series of crimes in relation to a 2021 attempted murder in LaGrange, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.
During the Summer of 2021, the LPD began an investigation into a shooting incident that had occurred within the city limits. During the course of this investigation it was determined that an Armed Robbery occurred previously and that the suspects then attempted to murder the victim.
The following subjects have been charged with the following crimes while being members of the Gangster Disciples Criminal Street Gang.
On June 7, a Troup County Grand Jury returned a 54 count indictment after evidence was presented by the the District Attorney’s Office and the LPD.
Octavious Moreland was charged with nine counts of violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, two counts armed robbery, two counts conspiracy to commit armed robbery, four counts aggravated assault, four counts possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, four counts use of firearm by convicted felon during the commission of a felony, two counts possession of firearm by a convicted felon, one count conspiracy to commit malice murder, and two counts criminal attempt to commit malice murder.
Andre Bennett was charged with five counts Violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, two counts armed robbery, two counts commission of certain crimes, two counts aggravated assault, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, two counts use of firearm by a convicted felon during the commission of a felony, and one count possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Christopher Walton was charged with five Violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, two counts armed robbery, two counts conspiracy to commit armed robbery, two counts aggravated assault, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes and one count possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Tamarcus Williams was charged with five counts Violation of Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, two counts armed robbery, two counts Conspiracy to commit armed robbery, two counts aggravated assault, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, two counts use of firearm by convicted felon during the commission of a felony and one count possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Kendravius Dozier was charged with four counts violation of street gang terrorism and prevention act, two counts aggravated assault, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, one count possession of firearm by a convicted felon, one conspiracy to commit malice murder, and two counts criminal attempt to commit malice murder.
