Man arrested for stealing $40,000 in car parts; more arrests may follow

The LaGrange Police Department has arrested a man for stealing approximately $40,000 in car parts. The case is still under investigation and the LPD is anticipating further arrests in the incident may follow.
On Friday, management at Sejong Georgia, LLC, located at 1560 Lukken Industrial Drive, reported a burglary at this location. During this burglary, approximately $40,000 worth of brand new catalytic converter inserts and parts were stolen from the manufacturing plant where they are made.
As a part of this investigation, Antoine Marcel Cotton, 48, was identified as a potential suspect, according to the LPD.
On Monday, a search was conducted at 411 Render Street where the LPD said Cotton was residing. During this search, the stolen catalytic converters were located in his residence and Cotton was arrested. Following his arrest, Cotton was also found to be in possession of powder cocaine which he was also charged with, according to the press release.
He was transported to the Troup County Jail where he was booked for burglary and possession of cocaine.
At the time of this arrest, Cotton was on active felony probation for a variety of entering Autos and drug-related offenses.
