Even as residents flock to the lake and other locations for the Fourth of July weekend, there are still plenty to do in Troup County this weekend.

• Start your Saturday off with a visit to the Market on Main farmers market in downtown LaGrange from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Vendors will have fruit, vegetables, handmade jewelry and baked sweets, art and much more for purchase.
• Also on Saturday will be the return of the LaGrange Board Game Society. This event, which features a variety of available board games, is free to the public and runs from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at YourPie in downtown LaGrange.
• On Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., River’s Bend Winery And Vineyard will host a pre-Fourth of July Independence Weekend Celebration. This family-friendly event will feature Pine Mountain musician Mick Billingsley as well as refreshments and outdoor games like corn hole and ladder ball. River’s Bend Winery And Vineyard is located at 692 Adams Road in West Point.
• From July 2 to July 4, Callaway Gardens will host its weekend Star Spangled Beach Party. Held at the resort’s Robin Lake Beach, visitors will have access to beach volleyball, putt-putt and water activities like stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. Visitors will also have access to a floating obstacle course, Aqua Island, where guests can race across twisting bridges, scale towering inflatable mountains and slip down gigantic slides. • On Sunday, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic will headline Sweetland Amphitheater. As noted on Sweetland’s website, the Parliament/Funkadelic machine was prominent in the Black music scene during the 1970s, capturing over 40 R&B hit singles (including three number ones) and recording three platinum albums.
