Mrs. Nelda Jeanette Hanners Harris, 87, of LaGrange, passed away on July 4, 2022.

Mrs. Harris was born on April 24, 1935, in Clay County, Alabama, to the late J.W. Hanners and Margaret Moore Hanners.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Harris; children, Debbie Hughes (John), Mike Harris (Bobbie), Kenny Harris (Christine) and Trish Popma (Scott); brother, Billy Hanners; grandchildren, Jenifer Griffis (Greg), Jay Hughes (Melissa), Kim Hill, Jason Harris, Hannah Harris, Matthew Harris (Jordan), Jonathan Harris (Monica), Jordan Kirby and Kristin Kirby; eight great-grandchildren and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 3 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
