Troup High School Alumni Association names scholorship after Commissioner Cadenhead

The Troup High School Alumni Association recently presented scholarships to three recipients from this year’s senior class.
The two Walter Earl Thompson Scholarships went to Addison Marie Sapp and Jennifer Allyson Albertson.
Sapp who will be attending Georgia Southern University where she plans to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. Albertson will be attending Abraham Baldwin and major in Animal Science to become a large animal veterinarian.
This year the Alumni Association added a new scholarship in honor of Troup County Commissioner Ellis P. Cadenhead, founder of the Alumni Association. The first recipient of the Ellis P. Cadenhead Citizenship Award Scholarship went to Sarah Elizabeth Blanks. Blanks will be attending the University of Georgia and plans to major in Communication Sciences and Disorders to become a speech pathologist.
