Early Tuesday evening LaGrange Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Juniper Street in reference to reports of person who had been shot.
LaGrange Police Lt. Robert Kirby said officers arrived to find a young male with a gunshot wound to the neck. The shooting victim was then transported to the hospital via ambulance.
While officers were on scene, they received information that the shooter was inside a nearby residence at 1313 Juniper St. The house was then cleared by officers, who were able to get the suspect on the phone.
Police were able to talk the suspect into coming outside and giving up, and he was taken into custody.
No one was injured beyond the person who had been shot, according to Kirby.
Investigators are still processing the scene and the suspect has not been publicly identified at this time.
