Former Troup football star Jamari Thrash had a career day on Saturday for Georgia State. The redshirt junior caught 10 passes for 210 yards and reeled in his first touchdown of the year against Charlotte.
Through three games, Thrash leads the Panthers in receptions, 19, and receiving yards, 336. His 336 yards receiving is good enough for the seventh highest in the entirety of Division I football this year through three games. Thrash is averaging 17.7 yards a catch and 112 yards a game. He has accounted for over half of the total receiving yards for Georgia State this season. The next highest receiving total on the roster is Robert Lewis with 189 yards with third being a distant 59 yards.
Georgia State will be at home versus Coastal Carolina next week. The game will air on ESPNU.
