Andrea Lizabeth Yarbrough, after a battle with cancer, passed away on Sept. 14. She spent her last 31 days in Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Andrea was born to Helen and Hector Gisi on May 27, 1960. She was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
Her family moved to Pine Mountain, Georgia in 1980 when her Father, a world-renowned Chef, originally from Switzerland, took an Executive Leadership of Hospitality Position with Callaway Gardens.
There, Andrea worked for the Resort’s Tennis Club and then as a Photographer.
Andrea moved into the banking business for many years in Downtown LaGrange with C&S Bank, then Bank of America.
She met her Husband Cary (Sonny) Yarbrough in 2005. They were married in 2008, with her Mother, Helen, as their only guest. They were married at St. Mark’s Episcopal in a civil ceremony.
The couple went on to have a supportive and caring partnership until her last breath.
Andrea was a lover of God’s Beauty in Nature and spent countless hours arranging Flowers for her and her friends’ homes.
She also loved dogs, and cooking, and was a long-time Commissioner of a local private Fantasy Football League.
Andrea has now joined Hector and Helen in Heaven.
She is survived by many loving friends and family; including her husband, her Brother, Thomas Gisi, Sister (and Brother-in-law), Susan (and Dulany) Hall of St. Simons Island, Gaeorgia, nephews,Robert Gisi and James Hall, and niece, Laura Avenick.
