Mr. George Casimer Marjanski, (78), of LaGrange, passed away on Sept. 21, 2022 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer..
George was born on Feb. 29, 1944 in Jaffa, Palestine to the late Casimer and Ludmilla Marjanski. George’s parents were in the Polish free army and stationed in Palestine at the time of his birth. After the war they moved to London, England until George was 6 years old. They were given the opportunity to move to the United States, where his family lived in East Chicago, Illinois.
George holds a degree as a mechanical engineer and during the course of his career, he developed 3 patents. He spent the majority of his career working in international business and was fortunate to be able to travel the world.
There were very few countries George had not visited at some point throughout his life. He transitioned from a Vice President role for Takata Inflation Systems in North America to President and CEO of Takata CPI Singapore from which he ultimately retired after a long and successful career.
George was a member of Lagrange Lion’s Club, he volunteered at Troup Cares and New Ventures. He also served as President of the Wisteria Ridge homeowners association until his illness.
George was a wonderful, loving husband to his wife, Kathy of 49 years, the best Daddy and father-in-law to his daughter Nicole (Steve) Crane, and Papa to twin grandsons, Liam and Aidan, who he adored.
He also leaves behind his sister in law, Judy Andersen and brother-in-law, Nick Knezevich Jr.
George was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Family will receive friends on Sun. Sept. 25, 2022 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.
