Mr. James Randall Steele, age 70, of LaGrange, passed away on Sept. 28, 2022. Mr. Steele was born on June 21, 1952, in LaGrange to the late Isiah H. Steele and Tommie Lou Vaughan Steele. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Richard Scott Steele, Melinda Ann Steele and Aliska Steele Baker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked many years at Langford Construction as a Carpenter. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his son, Michael Shawn Steele; brothers, Thomas Steele (Ange) and Jack Steele (Jo); sisters, Sandra Cornwell (the late Hugh Cornwell), Elaine Nave (Eddie) and Jennifer Kaye Steele; grandchildren, Haley Steele, Katelyn Steele, Allison Steele and Madilyn Steele; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Rev. Jimmy McMillian and Rev. Sid Shelnutt officiating. Interment will follow at the Centralhatchee Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 pm.
