Attention all fashionistas! If you haven’t been to LaGrange Plaza lately, there will soon be a new source of fashion and style.
Rainbow, a fashion retailer with over 1,000 locations, is set to open in the location of the old Goodwill store on Commerce Avenue.
“I’m super excited,” District manager Miriam Ledyard said. “I feel like the community is very excited to have a Rainbow in their area.”
Since its founding in 1935 by Irving Arthur Swarzman, the store has built a reputation for its affordable and inclusive clothing for women, juniors, and children.
The company operates under many store names such as Rainbow, Rainbow Plus, Rainbow Kids, Joyce Leslie, Dots, Marianne Stores and 5-7-9, among others.
Along with clothing, the brand sells accessories, swimwear, handbags, jewelry and footwear.
If nothing delays the opening, Ledyard said the new location Rainbow will open on Nov. 9. Currently, the closest Rainbow locations are in Columbus, Phenix City and Auburn.
