On Wednesday, Creative Legacy Group, a boutique insurance broker, officially opened its doors with a ribbon cutting hosted by the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce. 

Founded by Kami Adams, she and her husband, Christopher started their insurance careers after the loss of Christopher’s mother.

According to the company website, Christopher’s mother passed without any life insurance and no funds set aside for her burial. Instead of being able to grieve and cherish her memory, the family struggled to pay for the funeral expenses. 

After this experience, the Adams made it their mission to protect other families from having to deal with this type of burden. Christopher has since moved on from insurance, as he makes custom furniture using raw wood and an epoxy blend, but Kami continues with this new venture.

“We want people to be able to come in, have a nice experience and get the best prices and products available to meet their needs,” Kami said.

They have helped thousands of clients protect their loved ones from the uncertainties of life. 

“Helping seniors get protected and know their options with Medicare is a love of mine,” Kami said. “We help a lot of seniors, and it is important for them to have somebody that’s going to take care of them because they are our most precious segment of the population.”

Kami said she loves the stories many of her clients bring along as she helps them.

“I love their stories and love hearing how they met and got married,” she said. “History is a thing that we need to learn from, cherish and keep near and dear to our hearts.”
