Mrs. Helen Louise McFarlin Woodyard passed away Sun.
She was born in Chambers County, Alabama on August 16, to the parentage of Calvin and Mary Edith Thompson McFarlin.
At an early age she joined the Canaan Missionary Baptist, Roanoke (Welch) Alabama; and later Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church Cusseta, Alabama.
Helen graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1969, Five Points, Alabama and furthered her education by attending Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama.
She was previously employed by Hanes Hosiery, Inflation Systems, and Emersons Network.
Survivors include her husband, David Woodyard; her children: Chinea (Demoton) Boyd, LaGrange, Georgia; Tamara (Shemika) Beasley, Hogansville, Georgia; Candace (Joseph) Robinson, Valdosta, Georgia; stepchildren: Sharlonda “Nikki” Woodyard, Jason McGhee, Laronica (Oretagas) Shells, Joshua Woodyard, all of LaGrange, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Helen Woodyard, LaGrange, Georgia; one sister, Mary Lee Sanders, Roanoke, Alabama; one brother, Hayward (Sandra) McFarlin, El Paso, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Rutledge, LaGrange, Georgia; brother-in-law, Donald (Ernestine) Woodyard, LaGrange, Georgia; and a host of special relatives and friends.
The Service will be Friday at 3 P.M. on the Grounds of Canaan Baptist Church, Welch.
The excellent care of Mrs. Woodyard is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
