Cities, county announce holiday closures

Troup County, as well as the cities of LaGrange, Hogansville and West Point have announced their closure plans for the Thanksgiving holiday season.
The Troup County Government Center will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday. Additionally, all convenience centers will be closed Thursday, but will return to normal operations on Friday.
The cities of LaGrange, Hogansville, and West Point will also be closed for business on Thursday and Friday and will return to normal operating hours on Monday, Nov 28. All emergency services such as police and fire will remain in operation throughout the holiday season.
For trash pickup, residents in LaGrange and Hogansville who were scheduled to have trash picked up on Thursday will have their trash picked up on Friday. West Point residents can expect to have their trash picked up on Saturday.
The LaGrange Memorial Library and the Hogansville Public Library will be closed Nov. 23 through Nov. 26, while the Hawkes Library will be closed only on Nov. 24 and 25. All libraries will return to normal operating hours on Monday, Nov 28.
