Mrs. Alice Ilean Hornsby, age 86, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on December 24, 2022. Mrs. Hornsby was born on March 15, 1936 in Franklin, Georgia to the late Emanuel Marchman and Ruby Steele Marchman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Hornsby (SGT-Ret.) Mrs. Hornsby was blessed to have six children and took great joy in being a mother.

Survivors include her children, Keith Hornsby (GMG1- Navy Ret.), B. Gail Rome, Sandra Tomblin, Wanda Hornsby, Debbie Collinsworth (Chris) and Richard Hornsby; sister, Ann Prescott; ten grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 1:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.
