Mr. Joseph Johnson passed away Tuesday.
He was born July 19, 1944, to the late Olin Johnson and Lucinda “Mrs. Cindy” Johnson in Troup County, Georgia.
Early in life, he united with Bethlehem Baptist Church and remained a faithful member and graduated from Harrison High School.
“JoJo” as he was known, was previously employed by Interface Flooring, Days Inn and Smokey Craft Boats, before retiring from Interface. After retiring, he returned to the work force and was employed by Point University.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Maurice and Valyncia Tucker; four grandchildren; he considered his son and daughters: Fredrick Keith Vaughn, Gina Scott, and Tina Thomas; special relatives and friends, caregivers, and an array of family and friends.
The service will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. W. T. Edmonson will officite. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
