UPDATE: As of 6:30 p.m., both Interstate 85 North and South is moving, per City of LaGrange Marketing/Communications Manager Katie Van Schoor.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

Among the areas impacted by a tornado in LaGrange are Murphy Road, Lexington Park and Callaway Church Road, according to city of City of LaGrange Marketing/Communications Manager Katie Van Schoor.

Interstate 85 remains blocked from the Lafayette Parkway to Hamilton Road exit, though crews are working diligently to try to remove trees and debris.

Van Schoor said there are 2,000 people in the city limits without power, though many are industry related. She said Great Wolf Lodge is without power.

Van Schoor said there are 15 power poles out in the industrial park area.
