After winning four games in a row the LaGrange boys basketball team came back down to Earth on Saturday in 72-36 loss to Trinity Christian.
The game was a battle early with the Lions taking a narrow three point lead over the Grangers after the opening quarter of play. The second quarter was all Lions with Trinity Christian able to take a 42-17 lead heading into halftime.
The Grangers could find no way back in the game as they scored the lowest point total of the season.
Devin Dowell led the Grangers with eight points. Garret Jacobsen scored six points — all in the third quarter while Torrian Reeves and Isiah Green each scored five points. Bj Wortham scored four as the entire Granger offense struggled on the day.
LaGrange fell to 15-4 overall and 6-2 in region play. The Grangers currently sit second in region 4-4A. LaGrange will be back on the court in a rematch against Trinity Christian on Tuesday.
